Although traces could be seen best in winter snowed up scenery, in the year 2001 traces seem to be the most visible in the spring. In all aspects of our lives.
Belgrade citizens walked into it, generally speaking, poor in material wealth yet elegant in appearance. In spite of all things “done” and “not done” in the previous years, fashion has survived here thanks to people, either the fashion aware ones or the professionals who kept on improving themselves or their field of work - in spite of all. Belgrade has always and in the first place been about people.

Street fashion is not, nevertheless, an endemic phenomenon of Belgrade and Serbia. Fortunately, it is a dominating world trend which has inspired and attracted the most renowned fashion designers all around the world to give their contribution to its defining.

The revival of jeans, that ever lasting piece of clothing in our circumstances, has marked the beginning of this millennium at the world fashion scene. The sentimental attitude towards those good old days, embodied in jeans, has been designed and manufactured now, what a paradox, out of high tech fabrics and is widely present both in haut couture and in street fashion.
It appears as if paradoxes and changes are the ultimate certainty. Sometimes they seem to be much more inevitable here than anywhere else.

The Ninth Fashion Week will be surely marked by the name and title sponsor change, but first and foremost by the charity fashion show organized in favour of disabled children and children without parents care, by Fashion Studio CLICK and Fashion House Todor as a part of the campaign initiated by the Ministry of Social Care of Republic Serbia.

The suffering of more than 150 000 children is just an example for the story about traces and about changes from the beginning of this text as well as for the story about how fashion glamour could be the best way merged with the most severe reality. Fashion Studio CLICK organizes the fashion show for children giving up its fee and the Fashion House Todor is going to give away 1000 outfits to the deprived children.

As for the changes, domestic manufacturer of high quality OR liqueurs, superb in taste and widely appreciated, has joined fashion world as a title sponsor of the Fashion Week, currently named - Belgrade OR Fashion Week. Fashion Studio CLICK tends always to link people and companies from similar as well as from different branches.

The fact of some new participants speaks in favour of the mentioned intention. Several smaller manufacturers from province are going to present their collections created by eminent designers who have gradually turned into the distinguished representatives of Yugoslav fashion school thanks to their imaginative work and participation at the Fashion Weeks.
Three domestic manufacturers of leather are to present their collections and thereby bring refreshment to Spring Belgrade Fashion Week since the previous ones were dominated by knitwear collections. This can only mean the revival of our high quality and appreciated leather industry.

The Ninth Belgrade OR Fashion Show will be closed by the fashion show of an Italian haut couture designer Marco Coretti, who had great honour to close the latest Haut Couture Fashion Week in Rome. This young and renowned designers gives particular contribution to haut couture's defining, with his bold mixtures of street fashion elements and highly artistic demands of haut couture, in regard with approach as well as hand-made production.

Beside its foreign guests, the Belgrade Fashion Week has also got a foreign media sponsor - Fashion Channel from Paris, a channel with the highest rating in the fashion world. It is the organizer's intention to keep on further breaking into European media space since this event already has an extraordinary domestic media coverage. Only the VIII Belgrade Fashion Week had 120 broadcast hours on all major TV stations in the country.

At the Ninth Belgrade Fashion Week, side by side with regular and renowned participants, such as Afrodite Mode Collection, Cinderella, Tiffany etc, several young designers are going to demonstrate their work.
Once in the category of young and talented designers, now affirmed names, Jelena and Svetlana Prokovic and Bojan Milisavljevic are setting up their own brands as it is customary in the world.

Thanks to Fashion Week the presentations of accessories have finally reached the desired level. At the beginning there were a few modest single or group exhibitions and at this Spring Belgrade OR Fashion Week spectacles, footwear and jewellery manufacturers will have their single fashion shows.
Spring always brings visible changes, but this one seems to reach its peak here and now. Probably, it was worth waiting for it.
