In already familiar environment of Genex Impuls Hall in Intercontinental Hotel, last night was open 19th Fashion Week in Belgrade. The most prestigious fashion manifestation organized by Click Fashion Studio in the next seven days will present domestic designers, world wide known brands, young designers and, as an integral part of the program, the exhibition of accessories.
This spring edition of Fashion Week was opened by Show of Trends by leading domestic fashion companies - Mona, Nikola’s, Todor, Zekstra, Passage, Legend, Ivković, Gazu, Aries, Azaro ... Our well known stylists - Jovana Božović, Dejana Momčilović, Igor Todorović and Maja Atanasijević have presented current world trends: Innocence, East, Woman in a Man's Suit and New Sex Appeal. “The Show of Trends is the most interesting for the consumers, for the audience and the public because they can see how to make their own style combining different items. Tonight's show demonstrated current trends for this season. Woman in a Man's Suit was the most impressive trend for me, because it was the most defined one while others were pretty much fluid. If I was in position to do styling myself I would turn to the early romanticism, that is, to this trend which was dubbed Innocence and which is very modern in the whole world. I regret that celebrities who took part in the show: Ana Stanić, Katarina Radivojević ... were not more applaused because they were very good in the role of the models. Maja Atanasijević was the most liberate again combining the shirt in the form of the skirt or the trousers and in general by her unusual use and function change of clothing items. All stylings were interesting and I think that technically all was done well because we were able to see at the screens who designed what. When you see the fashion show like this than you come to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with the domestic fashion, which is my opinion from long time ago. I think domestic fashion companies are in trend, the only thing I don't know is do they have success in resisting the competition coming from China and Turkey. All that we have seen tonight looks very good. It looks like items were combined in some foreign shop, as from Paris or Milan. Anyway Fashion Week has to be the mirror of our fashion and when we criticize Fashion Week that means that we criticize the situation in our fashion design and fashion production. It is good that new brands are developing and along with Fashion Week many new and good companies and designers have sprouted. I hope this will be the case in the future as well and that Fashion Week as the only real fashion manifestation in this country will successed in bringing old glory back to the domestic fashion industry. No matter large number of similar manifestations that emerge here and there in our country I have to say – Fashion Week is the only one.”
The second part of the night was dedicated to Suzana Perić and her spring/summer collection. Her impressions from this fashion shows shares Dragana Ćosić, the journalist of Studio B TV channel.“I would gladly wear these models, but on the beach. I think it's easy and nice to undress beautiful girls. It is obvious that the whole collection has clear inspiration and the line which was followed, but my opinion is that there are too many slits, too many holes, too many transparent materials so that all these items are wearable in some warmer parts of the world. What we have seen isn't even for the evening in my opinion. I specially liked the jackets, there were some and they were perfectly cut out. I also liked the leather jackets. I think that was the biggest quality of this fashion show. And jackets are completely different from the dresses that dominate the whole collection and surely will be liked by domestic entertaining scene. The jackets are the main trump for presentation of Suzana Perić. Speaking in the terms of design Fashion Week have made a great progress. Above all by its graphic solutions. I like the way the exhibition of the accessoires looks like. I don't know if the design of the Fashion Week has anything to do with Design Week which runs simultaneously, but all this around is worth a praise.

My impressions are bright, spring alike, energetic, creative and I can see that there is a lot of potential here which Serbia and Serbian economy could use to achieve far better results in the domain of textile industry than the current ones. Anyhow, I always support the thesis that we can't make good result in some working intensive stories because we are not disciplined enough, we are not diligent enough and maybe we sway to much, but we are no doubt creative. We are full of ideas and when we want we can make miracles. And what we see here is an indicator of spiritual gift of this nation which must be supported and helped and I am quite positive that success will eventually come. For the people involved in fashion as well as for the country in general. That is what differs us from Germans or Dutch, from some less creative but far more confident people. Lack of creativity they compensate with persistence and hard work. I personally don't follow fashion often enough because I think men's fashion is mainly stereotyped and conservative for the people of my profession. Even today it was difficult for me to show up without tie, to wear something which is maybe a bit more extravagant compared to my every day style but I feel nice in what I wear and I wish to myself more moments like this. If I am not in the profession I am in I would surely be bolder in combining the colors and in following the trends when it comes to models. At the end I have to say that Belgrade Fashion Week is manifestation that contributes a lot to fashion and Serbian image in the world.

I liked the way Todor's collection was presented within the first collection which was inspired by romantic charm. I prefer that spring alike, brighter style than darker colors because that is what is Todor alike. This was good idea and I think it's great that such a fashion show opens Fashion Week. It is good that all domestic manufacturers are gathered like this at one place. That's why we responded to this invitation.

Maja Nedeljković Davidovac, fashion designer for Nicola's fashion company
I didn't recognized them myself, which is good, because it means that some very unusual combinations were made. Further, this season's models were used but some older unique items as well.
I liked the way Dejana Momčilović has successed, I don't know how, in composing the fall/winter collection using the models of current summer season.This kind of fusion of different forms is performed abroad mostly through magazines' editorials and since we are not such a huge fashion market, I think this is a good way of advertising and presenting the domestic brands for which I am not sure how they manage to survive in this flood of foreign ones. It is also good to have an overview of current trends.

I would single out what I liked the most and that is the task of Igor Todorović: A woman in the man's suit, because I see myself as a target group of that trend and also Zekstra is a company which is above all addressing to businessmen and businesswomen. Some trends are not wearable but all was interesting because, after all, not everything has to be for commercial purposes only. Thus from the models which are usually only a detail a whole clothing item or a combination is made. That is good because thus we get some recommendations otherwise we wouldn't devise by ourselves. These are suggestions which allows us to be absolutely unique and it is also great that all the best domestic fashion companies, including Zekstra, are always in the minds of our customers. We all know how difficult is the situation in domestic fashion so these things are good for all of us.

This is the second time that we do a fashion show with the stylists and we like it because, in a way, a shirt is silent accompanist of the fashion and it's rarely seen as a bearer of the main stamp on the models. Tonight we had an opportunity to see what it is like when shirt becomes a base of the styling. I am more than satisfied with the fashion shows and I specially liked the fashion show Innocence by Jovana Božović. I think she consistently followed our story, those striped and laced shirts ... Maja Atanasijević's attempt to make stratified dresses out of shirts was very interesting also, if I understood it correctly. It looks very good.

All was interesting, funny, it was pleasant for me to sit in the audience and observe the way someone else has seen my models. I would single out The Woman in a Man's Suit because that is the style Gaza fashion company presents on the streets as well as on the catwalk. Sometimes it's woman's costume, sometimes costume in the form of man's suit which is very convenient for numerous occasions. It's a reliable combination you can't make mistake with. Black or beige suit is something that goes well in many combinations and is modern for many seasons, even years. It is something women like to combine in endless ways which was effectively demonstrated by Igor in this fashion show. These fashion shows are attended by people who are above all curious and like fashion and this was one funny way of approaching to habitual forms of collections presentations. It's very amusing, interesting and you don't have to be linked to fashion professionally in order to enjoy it. This way of presentation certainly attracts great number of people.

I can say that as a owner of Aries Leather company I am glad we took part in this fashion show. This was our first time and it marks the beginning of cooperation with Click agency which perfectly organized this fashion show. I wasn't familiar beforehand with the conception of this fashion show and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked very much the way the models of different fashion companies were combined. All looked very harmonious, even when models of four different fashion companies were combined in one wearing combination.

Tonight's fashion show was somewhat different from what we used to see previous years. In this combination of various authors all is adapted to occasion and what is worn, to what one has in his/her wardrobe, so that everything seems vivid and different to me and I think the stylists have done excellent work. That is great because all of us who are not on the catwalk actually combine styles and designers and get along in many ways trying to reconcile everything.

I think this year's opening concept is excellent. I liked very much that organizers did it this way this time and that they turned our fashion into world's fashion. When I say this I above all have in mind the way stylists demonstrated how certain things could be wearable in a completely different manner than we usually do – man's shirt buttoned from the back or sweater as trousers. I think that was very attractive. Celebrities who presented the skills of our stylist additionally contributed to that attractiveness. I would praise all stylist, especially Maja Atanasijević who proved that sex appeal can be romantic too.

The idea for the opening night I find it exceptional, especially because I like to follow the work of the stylists. This time I liked the most the work of Maja Atanasijević and Jovana Božović whose work I see for the very first time. I think stylist did the maximum of the things that can be found in our shops. Though we are already accustomed to see celebrities in the role of the models I have to admit it looked very amusing this time also and it proved that many among our TV faces have a model alike look.

It was really fanciful, new and different. I liked the idea of presenting the domestic manufacturers in this way having in mind the catastrophic situation in domestic textile industry as well as the fact that our companies have to fight unfair competition and that many in this business hesitate should they go on or simply give everything up. It is good idea to present ten domestic, as it seems the strongest brands, and everything was done well.

I absolutely support the promotion of domestic brands and this was the right way to do so – by opening of the manifestation such as Fashion Week. It is great that organizers together with stylists have invited actresses and journalists to pose as models. I think that the whole idea for Trends fashion show is excellent. It gives a special review of the fashion and what is the most acceptable for the public because each of the collections keeps realizing designer's idea while this is realizing work of the stylist who allows us to imagine ourselves in various fashion occasions. I like the idea of stylists presenting the work of our fashion companies because they may conjure up the models in a completely different way. It is easier for me to imagine the way all this clothing could be worn when I see it combined by people similar to me and who share similar vision with me. It may be too extravagant for some but for me it is ideal since I see it as a full concept. And that concept is great since the idea and not the brand is in foreground. I believe we should all see things that way. All gave their best to present the models in the best possible way but I would like to single out the concepts of Jovana Božović and Maja Atanasijević.

Impressions On Promo Exhibition Nike Sport Culture

I think that Fashion Week is the right place for exhibition of this kind, especially when you have in mind that this year is a year of Football World Cup in which Nike has launched the Sport Culture collection inspired by football clubs from 30's and 40's of the last century. In this region Nike represents the best sport brand characterized by top performances, so Nike Sport Culture collection belongs to casual street fashion and it will surely find its place on our streets like it already did on the streets of world's metropoles. The presentation of these models in the form of mini performance–exhibition within this edition of the Fashion Week is just an introduction for new collections which will be far more presented on our market starting from autumn.

Impressions On Suzana Perić's Fashion Show

Suzana's fashion show is very modern and sexy. That was expected but I really think this is her best fashion show since I start to follow her work. Belgrade may be a bit shocked, maybe people are not accustomed to this but the styling was really amazing, materials expensive, models for Mykonos, Nice, Cannes, really glossy, glamorous ... we are too poor to be allowed not to have such luxurious things.

Since this is one among three fashion shows that I am going to attend within this edition of the Fashion Week, that says enough how much I appreciate the work of Suzana Perić who is currently one of the most appreciated domestic fashion designers and I gladly wear her models in All For Love TV show. I think her models are something the best we currently have on our scene, materials are of good quality, models are attractive, colors are amazing ... She is one among rare designers who emphasize the femininity in a woman and that's exactly what I like about her.

The best thing in this fashion show was mutual relation between dresses and the models who wore them and who are no doubt the most beautiful girls with perfect way of walking. Aside that the dresses presented show the influence of Jordi Labanda and those beach parties at least to say so I think out of that beach and beach parties context dresses are not wearable. I think brand such as SP should build its own recognizable style which means to avoid obvious influence of some renown fashion designer from the world since they themselves follow the trends but give their author's stamp by which they make their own style.

I often wear Suzana's models, we cooperate very well and from this collection which is very diverse and accessible for women of different ages I have to single out the magnificent evening dresses. I am fascinated by the colors and cuts and in my opinion these models could be worn in various manifestations and every woman can emphasize her figure and beauty in them.
