They Said About Yekoto and Boris Nikolić's Fashion Shows
Friedrich von Borries, architect, participant of Belgrade Design Week
The first collection was good, but usual and regular. However, I was impressed by Boris Nikolić's fashion show – charming clothing in the style of fairy tales creatures, like from a dream and it was nice to see. It was artistic and not something you would wear every day.
Irena Mišović, chief editor of Grazia magazine
As for the first collection I would like to stress the quality of fabrics used and hand made details. I have come from Paris recently and I saw some small workshops there and people working there, compared to that this was almost like ready-to-wear. I was confused by Boris' story about happy prince, for our circumstances it was a brave move. We forgot how to present the fashion in an alternative way and while I was watching these spring dresses from the story of (un)happy prince I was thinking about how we live in a world where everzone is in a constant chase for something bigger, better, where the money is an eternal topic ... So I think this is wonderful concept which reminds us that money is not the most important thing in life, neither the fashion is, but it is nice that it exists. Dresses are very cute and I support the femininity above all. Boris has done it easily. It is nice that this collection could be worn by young girls but those older too. Boris has matured as a designer and I like that he is getting more and more relaxed in his work. That is important because talented designer thus can demonstrate his real quality. I think he has advantage since his last collections put a stress on his great talent.

I liked the first fashion show. Sanja Džeba is very good with leather. Models that are usually from other materials were successful in leather too. That is very complexed and subtle approach to design and construction, very individual. There are some excellent jackets and trousers that I would gladly wear myself. Usually I am not interested in leather stuff but now when I saw them I liked them very much. I don't know what to say about second collection. The way he designed all that and Oscar Wilde in this context is a bit problematic to me. As for the models I think it's a bit naive approach to fashion and current trend.
Danilo Žižić, designer
I was absent for so long so I have a bit different point of view now. In general, I really liked the Boris' fashion show. It's somehow new for me, trendy, in accordance with everyday life – clothing that is suitable for this moment even here. All praises. The collection before that – I think girls have showed very good what means to work out the leather in accordance to trend.
Iva Stefanović, fashion editor of Elle magazine
The collection of Boris Nikolić has definitely left the stronger impression on me, above all because I like very much that feminine manner which Boris has demonstrated for the very first time in such a subtle way. As far as I remember he used to have various experiments on this topic but this time I really liked the way he put a stress on femininity. The first fashion show was outermost classic, it has its stamp which is more commercial than author's, but that's fine. Anyway, all praises to Boris. Judged by reactions of audience I would say they also liked the whole presentation.

After one extremely hard day I really enjoyed Ana Sofrenović's voice and Oscar Wilde. It is untypical and maybe a bit more chamber than one would expect since we are used to fashion shows with loud music and lot of noise, but it seems to me that Boris Nikolić wisely chosen to make a fashion show almost without music but with words only. I really completely abstracted the place and time I am in and followed the swallow and than those models were excellent support to the whole story. I even think that Boris Nikolić deliberately put his models in a second plan – installment of the collection from the previous fashion week is obvious, in color as well as in lines. Maybe those dresses are not reduced like before but with lots of folds and the colors are similar, which means that there is a certain line which is followed which is good and I really liked it. The first fashion show was very nice, the purse that transforms et cetera, but that's fine for me, especially when it comes from someone who is yet to be affirmed.
Bogomir Doringer, artist
Oscar Wilde as an inspiration is a good start, I liked the fashion show, but the concept in general didn't impress me much. Maybe it would on some other stage. I liked that he finally made the transition from little to grown up girls. My only comment is referred to fabrics but it seems I notice such things more since I don't work. Dresses of very interesting cut that look beautiful on models, great coiffures and finally the excellent footwear.
Jelena Rosić, TV hostess
I have seen only Boris' fashion show and the first thing that strikes me is different presentation. I think that Boris has proved with this collection how mature he is as an author and also that he has to offer something completely different to local fashion scene. We were mostly used on some girlie, nicely packed stuff from him so far maybe more some cross over of male-female clothing, but this is above all feminine collection, captivating and I think it will be good accepted by all girls who see themselves in his models.

I liked the fabrics and unconventional concept. I am very satisfied because the whole woman's collection is of very unusual cuts and I think that daring girls will find exceptional prom dresses in this collection.
Dejana Vučićević, costume designer
The Yekoto collection is one healthy collection, maybe a bit too commercial for my taste but with good solutions. I was fascinated by Boris' inspiration. It is very lyrical. Curiosity is that we witnessed the fashion show without music and we didn't fall asleep. It seems to me that this collection is even more feminine than the previous one. It reminds me on a distant baroque or rococo partially, that velvety he insists on in this phase of his work in the best sense of that word.
Ana Miščević, RTL journalist from Zagreb
At the first fashion show I saw some good items though I am not a big leather fan. As for the second fashion show I think that designer made a big mistake by presenting his collection in the form of performance which is totally out. It is well known that fashion show has to be dynamic, fast, that models should replace each other in a fast rhythm. This fashion show was slowed down and because of that good models, some among better I have seen so far within Fashion Week, weren't expressed fully. The definition of a good fashion show is known and it is followed by all designers in Paris, New York, Milan ... That's the only mistake in my opinion. Which is pity 'cause the collection itself is very good. It is stratified, with vivid colors in combinations which look incompatible at the first glance but he somehow managed to combined them well.

They Said About Katrin Fashion Show
Sanja Marinković, author of Magazine In TV show
I was already wearing models of Katrin fashion company at the opening of their store in Niš, where I was their exclusive guest. I didn't wear anything from this collection but if we are going to behave according “Let's buy domestic products” motto than some items from this collection, especially from the first part of it, denim and white, would find its place in my wardrobe. These items are great for every day combinations.
Vesna Dedić Milojević, author of Balkanskom ulicom TV show
It's cute. I liked several skirts and dresses from the beginning of the fashion show. The black part of the collection I didn't really like but the first part I really did. I can imagine women in these models during summer evenings out but also and during the day even at the work.
Gordana Lazarević, singer
I regret that less known authors do not provoke the same quantity of the publicity as those who are already well known because I think the support for their efforts is essential. For me this was one interesting commercial fashion show and I like to see clothing that could be worn daily. The collection is up-to-date, both in colors and cuts. I think young girls will enjoy in this.

There were many models which is worth of praise, since they were different and everyone could find something for himself/herself. People of different ages and styles can find their favorite clothing and that is a big plus. Out of these models I could imagine myself in about ten. I liked the combinations with denim and those white with lace but also there were some beautiful swaying dresses which I like to wear.
Lana Borić, hostess of the Dance Floor Charts MTV Adria show
There were really many models and if I have to choose than I would stick to the models from the beginning, those white, linen, with lace, that's really beautiful for me and girls looked perfect in it. I wouldn't recommend black for the summer though it's feminine and it emphasizes woman's body. I also liked very much one model without back for the evening and one waisted dress with checkered pattern.
Ivana Lašić, editor of YUTEF
The fashion show is really feminine which is something I always support. It is trendy, there are black and white colors as well as golden details, but just as much as it should be, otherwise it would be trashy. It is very wearable on a daily basis, but there are also some more elegant models which could be worn in the evening. My congratulations to Katarina Cvetković and Katrin fashion company.
Nikola Bošnjaković
I am glad that designers didn't go to far with details this year. There are some but not as much as last year, which is good because of too many details one can't see the model itself. This is very wearable collection and definitely trendy since there are hems, skirts in layers which is definitely trendy just like and black and white colors.

They Said About Sorbino and Bata Spasojević Fashion Show
Snežana Stojković, fashion editor of Gloria magazine
Bata has demonstrated his skills again. The collection is interesting with the colors that marked this season – black and white. Details were discrete so that models got the maximal attention. I was confused for a moment with the combinations of fabrics, I thought it's an autumn collection because aside light materials there were some heavier too, but in general all was excellent.
Leontina Vukomanović, singer
I like to see Belgrade guys dressed in Sorbino but I think that last year's styling for this fashion company which was done by Peđa Govedarica was more modern and up-to-date. The beginning of Bata Spasojević's fashion show was very convincing, specially the men's part of collection, punk sailors trend and the way he combined all that. I was a bit disturbed by a quantity of some heavy items since it is spring/summer collection after all. Freed from styling man's part of collection is maybe a bit too much for an average Serbian guy though I like it. One can see Bata has really stage alike clothing for our young men, great jackets and excellent trousers and my impression is he combined some crudeness with certain tenderness in his models. There are some perfect jackets and skirts in woman's collection which remind a bit on sixties and Audrey Hepburn though I think he wasn't very daring when it comes to woman's collection. However, general impression is very positive.
Neda Ukraden, singer
It seems to me, as far as I follow it, that this is the most complete Bata's fashion show so far. When I say this I mean on mixed man's/woman's collection which is combination of casual and formal style. When I watch fashion shows I always try to imagine myself in some of the models presented and this time that would be skirts in the style of sixties and seventies combined of various fabrics. This is clothing everyone can afford.
Slobodan Hrnjak, Sinergy Leo Burnett
Man's part of Bata Spasojević's collection is something of the best quality we have when it comes to domestic authors. Maybe it's a bit provocative in styling but taking separately every single item could be combined for a daily but also night life.

Galeb Nikačević, MTV Adria
I liked the collection, it's very attractive, maybe meant to more liberal kind of guys. Maybe I have that impression due to very emphasized styling. Taking items separately they are great, modern and wearable. I liked the trousers the most.
Jugoslav Pantelić, TV host
All the time during fashion show I was expecting the coming out of Sandra Perović and my impression is that she look amazing in Bata's dress.
Miroslav Pavlović, fashion editor of Lisa magazine
As for the first fashion show, Sorbino is classical and acceptable in any variant. I respect a lot the work of Bata Spasojević but this fashion show has exceeded all my expectations. The fabrics are great, cuts fabulous, the touch of futurism, Europe and cosmopolitanism is fantastic and I am amazed. I would wear all trousers we saw. The combination of leather and cotton is great and I like the elements of seventies which are the symbol of life lightness for me and that's what I like about details on the girls.
Luna Lu, author of Glamurama TV show
I wouldn't comment Sorbino fashion show because it is commercial. As for Bata Spasojević if his collection was showed anywhere else in Europe it would be sold out. I admire his ability to survive on local market from one season to another and not to bankrupt and be braver every time. I respect that kind of courage and consistency. The collection has its beginning, mean and the end, that is one successfully ended story.

This time I didn't understand the collection of Bata Spasojević or it wasn't according to my ideas. It was good but not as good as last time. Sorbino is a brand I wear in private life. I like the measure they insist on, that is the juncture of elegant and sporty look.
Andrija ?orđević, Union of the Models president
The Sorbino collection is likable, youthful and one can see it is made of good fabrics. Bata Spasojević has left excellent impression on me. It was one rich man's and woman's collection, well done and trendy. I am big admirer of his work because it's a man who is present at every Fashion Week and each time he is better than the previous one. Bravo for Bata!

About Exhibition of Accessories
Nataša Krstić, painter and fashion designer
Accessories are always nice refreshment at Fashion Week. I would single out Marija Tasovac and Evica Penezić, purses and gloves that are already the legend in the world of details. They are not linked by the trend as much by wild imagination.

About Black Magic Woman Performance of Students of Fourth Year of Fashion Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Class of Docent Dijana Macura
Ljiljana Popović, Pepeljuga fashion salon
This was really pleasant surprise. It is always nice to see students who give their best to make something new. It was innovative, modern, absolutely trendy. Though they are young it is great to see all that effort behind details in complete styling. I think everything was carefully chosen. I didn't expect such a great number of models. I hope that Academy will give great future designers who we shall see soon on the catwalk. That new energy is what we should hope for. Dijana did a great job with them. I follow her work from the beginning and I would also like to see her new collection.
