All I can say is: bravo, bravo, and bravo. Bravo for “Click”.  Bravo for Belgrade. Bravo for all designers who demonstrated all they know at this Fashion Week. The real question now is how to go further and how to create something better and bigger. Where the funds could be found? These kinds of events are supported by state everywhere in the world and I hope this is going to be the case in Serbia too. This Fashion Week was rich in authors’ collections. There were so many, more than ever. That’s fantastic. From Slobodan Mihajlović and Bogomir Doringer who are successful abroad to Proković sisters, Nataša Šarić, Doda Komad and Dragana Ognjenović who showed how one urban and self-conscious woman should look like. My bow to Belgrade red carpet the way it was seen by Darko Kostić. Whoever wants to wear long dresses can do that. I would single out the fashion show of trends which was fantastic and showed in the right way what one should wear and what one can buy here. That should become tradition of the Fashion Week. It is very good for Belgrade that it has so many domestic designers and that those designers have their own faithful audience. A bit more of scandal and a bit more of provocation won’t be harmful. I think that fashion reflects all changes Serbia has been through all these years. Somehow, everything is going ahead very fast. Belgrade is a place with irresistible charm, interesting history and with inclination toward fashion and that must be used.

Marina Kosanović, editor in chief of “Elle” magazine:
Nine days of 22nd Belgrade Fashion Week proved to be very interesting when it comes to this the most prestigious fashion event in the region. The first thing that comes to one’s mind is that Beck’s Fashion Week has assembled again the great part of the relevant participants from domestic fashion scene. Come back or, should I say, new participation of some old fashion players who didn’t present their collections for so long, must be very pleasing not only for organizers but for fashion scene in general. The appearance of the new fashion companies I see as the intelligent and logical move for creating company’s image and efficiency and that is for praise. The first independent appearance of Peđa Nerić I don’t see only as an oddity in his rich professional career but as a strengthening of the authors’ side of the Fashion Week program. However, what I see as the most important feature of this Fashion Week is “enthroning” of new, young designers at the domestic fashion scene, who, it is evident now, overcame their “young hopes” phase. I think on Dejan Despotović above all, who will be analyzed, and I think he is aware of that, more closely by fashion experts.

Nice refreshment of the Fashion Week was fashion show of trends that was successfully done by fashion editors of four magazines (“Elle”, “Grazia”, “Cosmopolitan”, “Joy”). If the idea was to demonstrate that one can be trendy with the cloth pieces which can be found here at the domestic market, than the goal is achieved. Moreover, this fashion show was short “lecture of style” for all from fashion scene. This edition of the Fashion Week has “recruited” one interesting venue more in this town – Salon “Porsche Ada” where Dragana Ognjenović closed the 22nd Beck’s Fashion Week with her “Software” fashion show in a brilliant way as we are used to it.

Igor Todorović, the fashion editor of “Cosmopolitan”
22nd Beck’s Fashion Week has presented, with its fashion shows and attached programs, the possibilities and potentials of authors, both, commercial and foreign brands at our market, which is the true mission of every Fashion Week at the first place. What was very striking is the authors’ work of domestic designers within this Fashion Week. I think that’s very important having in mind the authenticity of fashion expression demonstrated by designers. It demonstrates real possibilities of finding one’s own style which will be different from general equalization in the era of global trends and forms. The program’s diversity gave us opportunity to see the first, very successful, independent collections (Predrag’s Nerić for example), commercial brands (such are “Cortefiel”, “Diesel” and „Allegra”) men’s collection and lines (always interesting Proković sisters, Ana Ljubinković, Boris Nikolić), fresh “blood” who justified last awards (Dejan Despotović and Tijana Pavlov), exceptional master and connoisseur of fabrics and forms Slobodan Mihajlović, the skilled player with drapes and colors Tamara Radivojević and one timeless work of Doda Komad. Her work is worth of epithet “timeless’ because she does not sell her authenticity to the influences coming from fashion centers.
Summing up what I saw my conclusion is that creative potentials are real which means that there is great possibility for our authors to become the part of world’s fashion window which will be seen by numerous fashion enthusiasts and devotees of style.

Branka Kovačević, editor of culture of the “Bazar” magazine
Having in mind that I’ve been following Fashion Week for years now, I have to say I was especially impressed by this edition of the Fashion Week due to many fashion shows, dynamism, concept, diversity. I really expected much from this Fashion Week but I didn’t expect that everything will be so perfectly packed and dynamic. At the end one can sum up what’s the trend in Serbia and in the world and I think that there were many innovations which we were able to see. That’s the value of the Fashion Week. As for Darko Kostić I would say that he has reached very high level. I liked Ana Ljubinković who was feminine in a dramatic way, playing with forms and colors. I liked “Software” too as well as fashion show of trends probably because I work for a magazine so I like to see editorial at the catwalk. That was a unique experience in vivo which is rare to see.

It’s being proved what we already know, this is the most important and the most successful fashion event in Serbia and in region. The organization was perfect. This Fashion Week was very important for me since I presented the first independent collection. That’s why I’ll always remember it. Organization was flawless, models were excellent, designers never better. There hasn’t been so many authors’ collection before and that’s why I think this Fashion Week was so important. For me this was the best Fashion Week so far.

Sandra Perović, movie critic of RTS
Nenad Radujević has set the record this year: nine days. He superseded himself. I admire his energy. He succeeded in assembling the most important designers who presented their authors’ collections. The stress was on authors and than on commercial lines such are “Pedro del Hierro”, “Cortefiel”, “Diesel” and others. These are foreign brands but the stress was on authors starting from Bata Spasojević who is one of my favorite designers. If only Bata and Dragana Ognjenović were at this Fashion Week that would be enough let alone talented Ana Ljubinković, Stevančević sisters, Proković sisters etc. Seriously, Nenad’s success is this time even bigger thanks to so many designers who participated in this Fashion Week. That was a real challenge: to assemble all those people and organize all this. Honestly, all praises for courage, persistence and energy.

There are people and manifestation which are boasting all the time. But Nenad is one of those praised by others and I like to be critical to him, since I think that’s more beneficial. I have to admit I was not fully satisfied by the previous Fashion Week but this one was great. If we had only the second day of this Fashion Week that would be successful fashion event as it is but we had the third and fourth and the fifth and the rest of the days ending with fashion show of Dragana Ognjenović, so I have to admit this 22nd Beck’s Fashion Week was excellent. There were many authors’ collections and that’s the way our Fashion Week should go. This was the right measure. There was fashion show after fashion show and one couldn’t decide which one was the best since every single one was good. I liked there were many foreign brands and enough of men’s clothing. Everything was balanced. At the end I want to say that despite some critics “Posejdon” is a good venue for the fashion shows. I feel much better there than in Genex Impuls Hall.
